Controller allows for DMX or stand-alone control of HL1606 based LED Ribbons. Allows for full control of LED Ribbons over DMX or in stand-alone mode control can be achieved of any of the built-in sequences such as jumpy changing, comet trail, gradual changing, fading, color wash or others.
Controller has two sets of outputs (located at top) to run two strands of HL1606 LED Ribbon Cable.
Unit will run in stand-alone mode allowing for full control if no DMX signal is present when device is powered on.
Supply voltage to device is 5v DC and should control HL1606 LED Ribbons of the same voltage.

Connect the HL1606 LED ribbons to the output using the supplied connector sets. The outputs are labeled L, C, D, S and G. The outputs would match up to the following connections on the HL1606 ribbon.
Connection: When connecting the HL1606 ribbon, ensure you are connecting to the Input side of string and not the output. The Inputs are labeled LI, CI, DI and SI while the outputs are labelled LO, CO, DO and SO (or sometimes shortened to L, C, D and S). Care should be taken to not short any of the outputs together as this could cause damage to the controller.
DMX: To use under DMX control, the DMX input should be connected to the input prior to power on the controller. The address code is 1, the channel of color choice is CH1, speed control channel is CH2, the greater DMX channel value (from 0 to 255) is ,the faster speed is.
Manual Control: The controller itself is very powerful when used in the stand-alone mode. Any of the internal functions can be easily selected from the keypad and with details displayed on the four LED display. The function keys work as follows:
Used to power the device On or Off as needed. When in the Off state, the LED will display PXXX, where XXX shows the number of LEDs on your HL1606 string. This count can be adjusted up and down by pressing the PLUS or MINUS keys. The unit will function even if you have an incorrect count in this field. The sequences are optimized to reference this number and will function better if the total could of LEDs is correct.
Used to start or stop a display animation in process. When pressed in DMX mode, the LED readout will display CXXX where XXX is the DMX address of the current sequence.
Used to increase the speed a sequence is displayed, of which there are 100 levels. Also used to adjust the number of HL1606 modules when in setup mode. The maximum number of modules is 255 (510 groups of RGB LEDs) while the minimum is 16 (representing 32 groups of RGB modules). Also used for setting of the DMX address, to a maximum of 999 and a minimum of 1.
