Tapewound su žice koje kao zavšni sloj imaju omotač od crnog sintetičnkog najlonskog materijala, što im daje posebno dubog i topao ton, po karakteru dosta blizak kontrabasu. Standaradna duga skala, debljina medium 50-105. Ove žice imaju manju tenziju od standardnih. 

Pure nickel žice odlikuje izbalansiran i jednak ton duž celog vrata bas gitare, pogodan za najrazličitije stilove bez dodatnog podešavanja zvuka, kao i za aranžmane koji zahtevaju i standardnu i slap tehniku. Petožičani set, standardna duga skala, debljina light, 40-126.
