The VHA 406A is a 2-way active line array module from FBT’s Horizon series, specifically engineered for both vertical and horizontal deployments in live events, theatres, arenas, and large-scale installations. Compact yet powerful, the system features four custom 6.5″ woofers with 1.5″ voice coils and a 1.4″ B&C neodymium compression driver with a 2.5″ voice coil, mounted on a precision-engineered waveguide designed using BEM modeling techniques. This ensures consistent coverage with a horizontal dispersion of 90° and a vertical pattern of 20°. The VHA 406A is driven by a Class-D amplifier delivering 600W RMS to the low frequencies and 300W RMS to the highs. The system includes an onboard DSP with eight selectable presets, offering flexible control over EQ curves, high-pass filtering and HF level for adapting the response to different configurations and environments. With a frequency response extending from 65Hz to 20kHz and a maximum SPL of 133dB, the 406A balances clarity and output in a compact footprint.
