The NU-47VS3 is the result of 30 years of learning and mastering the art of microphone making. As the third generation of the 47V family it marks a complete departure from the traditional form and technology of vintage microphone cloning attempts.

No early capsule designs, no extinct vacuum tubes, no output transformers are used. 
Instead, we are now free to create a microphone that sounds exactly as desired.
We can match the smooth frequency response and harmonic richness of a vintage microphone, or go even further, by extending the top end response slightly, and carefully controlling the saturation behaviour of the whole spectrum. An update to the vintage design, expanding the beautiful warmth and presence and providing lower noise and modern convenience.
