SOYUZ 023 BOMBLET DELUXE
The silver Soyuz 023 Deluxe, dubbed "The Bomblet," is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for recording applications. It's suitable for vocals, guitars, pianos, and more. Based on soviet-era technology, the microphone offers a cardioid polar pickup pattern by means of its dual 1.3" capsules, one of which features gold sputtering.
A proprietary toroidal transformer helps ensure a pristine tone, with a sweet frequency boost at around 10 kHz. The microphone sports a 30 Hz to 18 kHz frequency range. Rather than a pad switch, the 023 uses an external attenuator block to secure a -20 dB pad, if need be.
