Custom-tuned for modern, radio-friendly mixes, the Soyuz Microphones 023 Malfa Mic is a large-diaphragm, FET condenser mic based on the 023 Bomblet with a slightly brighter sound, enhanced presence, and extended air. Sporting a handcrafted, gold-sputtered 1.29" cardioid diaphragm, this microphone is an ideal choice for vocals, guitar, drum overheads, and more.

Based on a previously private collaboration between Soyuz and the producer MALFA, this mic and capsule retain all the forgiving character of the 023 series, but with custom tuning for enhanced vocal articulation and high-end sparkle, making it easy to attain a finished sound with strings, cymbals, vocals, guitars, keys, and much more without surgical EQ processing. The diaphragm offers a wide frequency range and a high maximum SPL of 140 dB, making this capsule ideal for a diversity of sound sources. A switchable -20 dB pad further aids in handling loud sources. With a custom toroidal transformer, the included mic body delivers noiseless operation. The capsule can also be removed and swapped onto current-gen 023 and 017 mic bodies effortlessly thanks to the tool-free mounting design. The 023 Malfa Mic includes an oak carrying case, a custom shockmount, a mic clip, and an XLR mic cable.
